Chrome for Linux and Mac Make Beta

Fifteen months after Chrome for Windows launched, Google Tuesday delivered betas of its browser for both Linux and the Mac. The Mac widgetry was due in the first half. The Linux team called its port “a labor of love” and said it works well with both Gnome and KDE. Apparently 50 developers outside of Google contributed code to its open source development.
